I have worked in IT for over 20 years and am an active Steward in my union. I absolutely love Kangoo dance, spending time out doors and dancing. Family time is very important to me, whether it be my kids, brothers, pets or Babe Cavers. Spending time with my friends is magical, they support me, make me laugh and keep me grounded. I have always enjoyed volunteering to help others from my son’s hockey team, school, co workers to anything involving animals. Family, fitness and helping others are the most rewarding parts of my life.

Who is your trainer?
What makes her so special as a trainer?
Becky Overbeck is so special in many ways. She is one of the most dedicated, caring, king souls I have ever met. Helping people achieve their goals and become their best is her passion. I have been to other gyms and worked out with other trainers but none of them inspired me to strive and reach my goals as Becky has done. With a lot of other gyms it always seemed to be more about making money. Becky is the complete opposite and helped me to crush my initial goal in 5 short months! Now I have other goals which I know are reachable because of Becky and the magical community she has created. Becky Overbeck is a true ambassador for fitness, health and love.
FAMILY, FITNESS AND HELPING OTHERS ARE THE MOST REWARDING PARTS OF MY LIFE.
Can you talk about the Babecave community? What makes it so unique?
The Babecave is not a gym, it is a family. A family of women, some men lol, and kids, lots of kids. Oh and pussy cats. I have never been in such a large group of women that support and care for each other before the Babecave. If you need motivation it’s there, if you need advice it’s there, if you need a shoulder to cry on or a big hug it’s there. People come from far and wide, follow along online and reach out to Becky from across the world. There really is something magical going on.

Thoughts on HIIT, Powerlifting, TRX, Yoga, bodybuilding, other:
I love Kangoo Dance, it’s the first aerobic exercise I have ever truly loved, and an amazing fat-burning workout. HIIT and Tabata are some of my favorites, they incorporate so many different exercises in short bursts which keep you moving, engaged and get you fit! Seeing your muscles develop over time is such a huge motivation. Yoga is so great for the mind and body and a perfect accompaniment to my fitness routine.

How did you use Magnum products during your shoot prep?
I made sure I never missed any of the my supplements.
MAGNUM HELPED ME TO REACH MY GOALS QUICKER AND WERE A GREAT BALANCE WITH WORKOUTS AND A HEALTHY DIET.
What are your thoughts about Magnum and which products do you use from them?
I truly believe the Magnum products increase my energy, help me sleep and care for my joints. They helped me to reach my goals quicker and were a great balance with workouts and a healthy diet.

What do your parents mean to you? What did they teach you?
Sadly my parents are both gone and I miss them dearly. They taught me to be a hard worker and above all to be king, loving and caring for others.

Status Fitness is for everyone. We get to see, models, fitness professionals and every day people like ourselves and be inspired by all.

Well that would be a dream come true! Just being a part of such an outstanding publication is an honor in itself. It would also be a way to show people who were struggling like me what is possible if you invest in yourself.

It was a blast working with Warren. I was really nervous but he made it so comfortable, fun and I really felt special.

I love walking in the rain.
Reading is a huge passion.
History intrigues me, especially the medieval era.

I WOULD LIKE TO INSPIRE ALL THE WOMEN OUT THERE WHO ARE LIKE I WAS, UNHAPPY BUT NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.
Who inspires you?
My brother Mike, hands down.
Who do you wish to inspire?
I would like to inspire all the women out there who are like I was, unhappy but not knowing what to do about it. If I can accomplish what I did in 5 short months at the age of 53 anyone can.
I started at the Babecave in August of 2017 knowing I needed to make a change in my life. I was overweight, out of shape and unhealthy. I heard about Becky on Facebook and thought I would give Kangoo a try. It was absolutely amazing, a dream come true. Becky is so inspiring, caring and a kickass trainer. Within 5 months I lost 81 pounds, was eating healthy, exercising like crazy and feeling better than I have in over 10 years! I could not have done it without the support of my family, friends and Babecavers. Most importantly, this is not a diet or temporary measure, this is a life style change.
THIS IS NOT A DIET OR TEMPORARY MEASURE, THIS IS A LIFESTYLE CHANGE.
To be happy, healthy, fit and be there for anyone who needs a helping hand.
