Overall Winner: ANGELA THOMAS
Age:
42
Health and Fitness Goals:
Started as solely weight/fat loss. Now my goal is to build muscle and get stronger.
Why did you decide to register for Hannah’s program?
I heard of Hannah’s program through a friend. I wanted to lose weight. I was working out every day and not seeing results. I wanted to break the cycle of constant dieting and my weight going up and down.
How has the experience been for you?
It has really changed my life. I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. I don’t think about my weight and how I look constantly.
What does being fit (“She is FIT”) mean to you?
Being fit in my mind and my body. It means challenging myself every day.
What did you do to focus on during this FIT challenge?
This month, I focused on getting stronger and pushing myself past what I thought I could do.
What did you learn about yourself this past month?
Not just to look at the numbers on the scale to track my progress but to also track my progress in how much I am able to lift and the inches lost.
What challenges did you face this past month while focusing on your”Fitness”?
I had plateaued with my weight loss. Hannah coached me in increasing my calories. This felt against everything I had previously done. I followed her advice and was able to move forward.
Any words of advice you would give to others considering a “FIT’ program approach?
Patience. It takes time. Focus on the progress you make in all areas, not just weight loss.
What does it mean to you to earn recognition in the “She is FIT” award spotlight?
It is an honour. Amazing to get this recognition.
What has it been like working with Hannah and the Fitclub community?
It is encouraging to see others progress. It is a great support system. Hannah is knowledgeable and available for advice and questions.

How has the experience been for you?
Absolutely fantastic!
What does being fit (“She is FIT”) mean to you?
Evolving as a human and loving all the imperfections as perfect. Mind, soul and body are connected and work well together. Each one affects the other, so treat them well.
What did you do to focus on during this FIT challenge?
Consistency, trying to focus on what muscle is being used during each exercise.
What did you learn about yourself this past month?
If I miss a workout I try not to beat myself up.
What challenges did you face this past month while focusing on your”Fitness”?
My motivation was trying to fly out the window. What brought me back were videos from Hannah Dawson, her wonderful words of motivation and determination. She really is a wonderful coach with tons of knowledge to help you focus and bring you back to the reasons why you want to work out.
Any words of advice you would give to others considering a “FIT” program approach?
Keep it up, be consistent. Make sure to schedule workouts, if you don’t make time, you will not find the time. Everyone can say ” I don’t have time”. If it is important, you will make time!
What does it mean to you to earth recognition of the “She is FIT” award spotlight?
I am very honoured to earn a spot in Status magazine. I am very proud of my work and progress.
What has it been like working with Hannah and the Fitclub community?
Such a lovely bunch of women helping and supporting each other in a healthy journey. Hannah is a fabulous person and coach who cares deeply for her fit club babes.

Age:

Health and Fitness Goals:
My health and fitness goals are to create a consistent routine to get my body moving daily. To become stronger in my own body but also to show my 3 boys that a healthy, active lifestyle is important!
Why did you decide to register with Hannah program?
I registered for Hannah’s program because I was tired of feeling bad for myself and needed something to change. I had very low confidence and felt very inactive and unmotivated. My girlfriend (Fitclub Ambassador Julie) posted in her story about a new challenge that Hannah was starting so I inquired and it was the best fitness decision of my life!
How has the experience been for you?
The experience has been honestly life-changing. I feel more confident and in charge of my health and fitness. Working out doesn’t feel like a chore but is now something that I consciously choose for myself.
What does FIT (“She is Fit”) mean to you?
Being “FIT” to me means that I can keep up with a healthy active lifestyle. I can go hiking and biking with enjoyment instead of anxiety. I feel physically stronger than I ever have before and it feels amazing.
What did you do to focus on during this challenge?
This challenge I have focused mainly on being consistent. Complete the workouts and be prepared. In the past, I have given up on so many challenges or workout plans that I needed to complete something to prove to myself that I could do it. I could complete the task that I presented to myself. I did complete it, and it feels so gratifying to know that I can do it.
What challenges did you face this past month when it came to your Discipline”?
The biggest challenge that I face monthly is being prepared. With a busy schedule (like all busy parents out there), I often struggle to find the balance and energy to fully prepare myself for the week. Often, I tell myself “Just spend another half hour prepping and you’ll save yourself stress and anxiety through the week. It will be worth it!” and it always is.
Any words of advice you would give to others considering a “FIT’ program approach?
My advice to anyone who is thinking of joining the Fitclub is to absolutely do it! You can do all of the workouts from home with minimal equipment, the support from Hannah and the community is unmatched by any other program out there. The weekly mindset coaching is motivational and inspirational and truthfully what other programs are missing. Hannah coaches that with the right mindset, you can do anything you put your focus on 🙂 The most important thing I have learned through this journey is that it IS just that…..a journey. This is not an overnight thing, it’s a process, not perfection. I’ve learned that I can have a bad day, but then I dust myself off and move past it. One bad day doesn’t mean that you have to start over, It just means that you pick yourself up, and keep moving forward.
What has it been like working with Hannah and the Fitclub community?
Working with Hannah and the Fitclub community is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The mindset training provided by Hannah and her coaching style is unmatched. The support from all the women that are having the same daily, weekly struggles to stay motivated or to find the time to work out is comforting. To know that you’re not alone and have a community to lean on is both empowering and motivating, to say the least.
