I am a 34 year old wife, mother, hairstylist, makeup artist, who grew up working and living the family run restaurant life. I am married and have an 11 year old. I’ve lived in the same house my whole life on 10 acres in the smallish town of Tottenham, Ontario. I enjoy everything that involves getting out and being active and I have a zest for life. I love dancing and ice cream. Lol shhh don’t tell that last one to Becky… Lol
I ENJOY EVERYTHING THAT INVOLVES GETTING OUT AND BEING ACTIVE.
Who is your trainer?
What makes her so special as a trainer?
What sets Becky apart from all the other trainers I’ve ever been to, is that she cares. This isn’t just a job for her it’s a way of life. She teaches you so much more then how to use a machine or read a label. She gives us life tools to help us every single step of the way. She also taught me this is temporary, you can be healthy and look good always but it starts within yourself. To her your success is her success, and when we smile… She smiles with us.
Can you talk about the Babecave community? What makes it so unique?
The Babe cave community… its one of the most special places on this earth. This is where we all come to decompress of our daily stresses and at the same time we fill each other up with so much positive energy that it’s contagious.
Occupation details:
Hairstylist and makeup artist since 2003. I own and operate a hair salon since 2010.

BECKY TAUGHT ME THIS IS TEMPORARY, YOU CAN BE HEALTHY AND LOOK GOOD ALWAYS BUT IT STARTS WITHIN YOURSELF.
Relationship status:
Married 12 years
Fitness Goals:
Be healthy, look good, build some muscle (hopefully a booty lol) and stay this way forever.
Training Plan:
Never stop. Push harder everyday, motivate others. Eventually I would also like to introduce more heaving lifting.
Thoughts on HIIt, Power lifting, TRX, Yoga, bodybuilding, other:
I don’t do some of these because of previous injuries from a car wreck, but I believe that any kind of exercise is a positive in your life. So find something that works and that you love and never give up. Personally for me HITT is one of my favorite classes outside of kangoo.
Nutritional & Supplements:
I don’t take too many to be honest. I use the Magnum protein shakes, I think I have every flavor lol. Also Pre 4 before most workouts and befor dancing. I also take G-spring. I eat very healthy and keep with in a range of calories to maintain my current weight.

THROUGH MY SALON AND WEDDING BUSINESS, I SHOW THEM HOW TRUE BEAUTY IS FOUND WITHIN THEM, I BRING THEIR INNER BEAUTY OUT AND MAKE THEM SHINE BRIGHT.
How did you use Magnum products during your shoot prep?
I didn’t do too much different then I usually do. I am so proud of where I have gotten to. So I didn’t feel I needed to make any changes for the shoot. The main things I did was fasted cardio. I kept my eating really really clean and cut my calories a little bit. I continued with my shakes and pre workout and G-spring.
What are your thoughts about Magnum and which products do you use from them?
I use their Quattro pro shakes, G-spring and Pre 4. I like the fact that they use alot of Natural ingredients and try to develop things that work for everyone no matter what direction they are headed.
Special skills?
I like to think that making other people happy and feel great is a skill. Through my salon and wedding business, I show them how true beauty is found within them, I bring their inner beauty out and make them shine bright. Also showing them how I achieved my goals, it instills the strength in them to challenge themselves and achieve their own.

YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE AND TOMORROW IS NEVER PROMISED, SO DO WHAT MAKES YOUR HEART SMILE.
What do your parents mean to you? What did they teach you?
My Mom taught me alot, Growing up in the restaurant business I developed a really good work ethic. I learned to deal with alot, and with different types of situations. I watched and learned how to build and sustain a successful business. My Dad has taught me to always do what makes you happy. You only get one chance and tomorrow is never promised, so do what makes your heart smile. My grandparents on my moms side is who I spent most my time with. They taught me how to work hard for what I want, and to take time to smell the flowers along the way. And that no matter what your family will always be there for you.
What separates Status from other fitness magazines?
What separates Status from other magazines is, there are people in all stages of their fitness journey the beginning, people in competitive stages, young, seasoned in age, moms dads everyday people doing amazing things.. loads of information about everything fitness. And it exudes positive energy.
What would it mean to you to become the next Status Fitness Cover-model?
On the cover! Wow! That would be incredible. To go from where I used to be, obese, unhealthy, and unhappy. To where I am now, and for it to be recognized and used to inspire others like me. I would probably pass out lol. I used to think that I was never meant to be skinny or fit. I thought I was always deston to be the way I was. I know there are thousands of people who feel the same… But they don’t have to. They too can feel like I do. If I was on the cover to show people that if I can they can.. It would be a complete honour.

Transformation story:
I’ve struggled with my weight for a very long time, since early highschool. I tried a lot of things, mixed martial arts, curves, rec centers, L.A weight loss, I mean everything there were a bunch of others in there too. I was about 70 ponds heavier then I am now. And this wasn’t because of my child, it was pure indulgence and me treating my body terribly with poor eating and life style choices. Then came baby. So it added a little more. Fast forward to when she’s 7 and I’m still struggling. One day an old neck injury from a car accident in my late teens came back to haunt me. I started doing physio therapy and massage and, if not for him (Micheal Boni) telling me that I need to strengthen my core. If I wanted this to get better would I have make a serious push in a completely different direction. A friend at the time mentioned to me about kangoo and that I should try, and so I did. July 2. 2014 I walked into the Babe cave and Becky Overbeck asked me what my goals were. I simply responded with I just want to get healthy. I told her of my injuries and from there with every passing day my life started to change.
Four years have since passed and I never gave up. I pushed, I cried, People made fun of me on social media, but I showed up every damn day. Never in a million years did I think that I would look like I do now. Never in a million years did I think I would look at myself and be so happy and proud!

IF I WANTED THIS TO GET BETTER WOULD I HAVE MAKE A SERIOUS PUSH IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DIRECTION.
